Her Dad's Boss: A Billionaire Boss Obsession Page 3
“It was really beautiful and I really enjoyed it, too.” I prop myself up on my elbow. Our faces are nearly touching. “You’re something special, Miss Flowers.”
Teagan starts to say something and then a look of utter horror crosses her face. “Oh my God. I’m not supposed to have anyone in the house and I just…” She sits up. “I just had sex in my dad’s boss’ bed!”
Shit. I probably need to come clean about who I really am. “Teagan…”
She’s up and out of bed, pulling on clothes and throwing mine my way. “I’ll wash the sheets. And maybe, I don’t know, leave him a tip? An apology note?” She shakes her head, her eyes wide. “I don’t know what the appropriate gesture is for I had sex with a stranger in your bed.”
“Teagan…”
“I’m sorry, Joshua, but you have to go…”
I stand and take her by the shoulders. “Teagan.” I wait for her eyes to focus on mine. “I need you to listen to me.”
She starts to speak again, but I put a finger to her lips.
“My name is Joshua Kincaid. This is my home.”
Her jaw goes slack and her eyes go wide. “You’re…” She trails off, then blinks and shakes her head. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you pretend to be a carpenter? Oh my God. You did all this just to get me to have sex with you! You … creeper!”
I do everything I can not to laugh at her horror-stricken face. “I most certainly did not do any of this just to have sex with you. Your dad said you were a good girl, but I needed to see it for myself. Most twenty-year-olds are more like your friend, Lora.”
“Lola.”
“Right. Lola.” I cup her cheek with my palm. “I promise I am not a creeper and I had no intention of sleeping with you. I trusted your dad, but I needed to verify that you weren’t going to invite all your friends over to my quadrillionaire ranch and drink all my expensive scotch.”
The corners of her lips pull up in a crooked smile. “You heard that, did you?”
“I did. And I was very proud of you for telling your persistent little friend no.”
Teagan beams.
“I didn’t pretend to be a carpenter just to have sex with you. In fact, I never said I was a carpenter at all.” I shrug. “Not entirely honest, I know, but not entirely dishonest either.”
“Your morality is hanging on a technicality, Mr. Kincaid.”
“Please. Call me Joshua. Mr. Kincaid is…”
“My dad’s boss?”
I cringe. Then nod. Then sigh. “That’s a truth that might be uncomfortable for a while.”
Teagan smiles. “Or not. Not if we follow Lola’s example and listen more to our hearts and souls than we do to what society deems right and proper.”
“Or that.” I shake out my boxer briefs and step into them. “Have a drink with me?”
“I thought the expensive scotch was off limits.”
“Not for you,” I say and realize that I can’t think of much in this world that would be off-limits for the glorious Teagan Flowers.
We get dressed and I lead her through my house to the living room. She drops onto my leather sofa with a sigh. “The view…” She trails off, her gaze locked on the wall of floor to ceiling windows looking out towards the mountains. “How do you manage not to get lost in it?”
“I don’t.” I watch as she tucks her legs up under her, her hair cascading over her shoulder. “Up until this moment, I thought that view was the most beautiful thing I would ever see in this world.”
Teagan turns. “Oh yeah? What changed?”
“You.” I smile and then turn towards the wet bar to pour our drinks. “How do you take your scotch?”
Teagan laughs. “I have no idea. This will be another first for me. I’ll take it the way you take it?” She speaks the statement like a question and I glance over my shoulder to find her beautiful face marred with doubt.
“You don’t have to take it at all, not if you don’t want to. Is there something else you’d prefer?”
She shakes her head. “Actually, I’d love to try it. I’m all about trying new things and finding new experiences.”
I pour two glasses, two fingers for me, and just one for her. Scotch is overtly potent and she might not be prepared for that. “How in the world do you manage to try new things and find new experiences without listening to your heart and soul?” I hand her the drink.
“That is a bit of a struggle.” Teagan takes a whiff and then a tentative sip. “Oh. That’s good.” She grins.
“Really?”
“You seem surprised,” she says as I settle down beside her.
“I am. When I think of twenty-one-year-old girls drinking, the last thing I imagine in their hands is scotch.”
“I hope I continue to surprise you.” She raises her glass and takes another drink.
“I’m sure you will.” I drink. “Now, about this search for heartless and soulless new experiences. How does that work, exactly?”
Teagan laughs. There’s a bit of gravel in her voice and I fucking love it.
“My whole life has been designed to set me up on the best possible track.” She sits taller as she speaks, mimicking the voice of a well-meaning parent. “It’s hard to search for new experiences that don’t also involve somehow stepping off that track.” She frowns. “But just because I’m a good girl who does what she’s told doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate the power of growth and change. Life needs to expand or it becomes stagnant, you know? And while I don’t want to go flitting from one crappy job to the next like Lola, I do want to challenge myself by seeing and trying and tasting and hearing as many new things as I can while I’m able.”
“Did your dad tell you that?”
She pauses with her drink halfway to her face and frowns. “Tell me what?”
“That life needs to expand or it becomes stagnant. That the world challenges us to experience everything it has to offer while we have the chance.”
She lowers her glass. “No. That’s just how I feel. Joshua? What’s wrong?”
I study her face, searching for a lie, and see none. “That’s almost what I said, like verbatim, when I scheduled my trip this summer. It’s a business trip first and foremost, but I intend to see as much of the world as I can while I’m out here.”
A grin warms her face. “I knew I was drawn to you for more than just those rock-hard abs.” She takes a long drink, her eyes on mine and something inside me shifts to make room for Teagan Flowers.
“Oh yeah? And what’s that?” I take a drink. “The ranch? The money? The ravishing good looks?” I rake a hand through my hair and wink before lowering my voice. “The magic I can work with my tongue?”
“All of those are definite points in your favor. And let’s not forget the magic you work with that dick.” She blushes and tries to hide it by taking another drink. “But I think I really just like you. I think you’re just my kind of person.”
Chapter Seven
Teagan
Day turns into night and one glass of scotch turns into three. Joshua and I laugh and talk and laugh some more as the sun sets behind the mountains on the other side of the window. I can’t stop touching him. And he can’t stop touching me. And every time his fingers graze my skin, my pussy aches and throbs. I can still feel him inside me, stretching me, filling me.
Completing me.
I know it sounds dumb. How does this man having his dick inside me complete me? The answer? I don’t know how. I only know it’s true. Bits and pieces of me have been falling into place all night long and I don’t understand it any better than I can describe it, but I know I like it. I like him. I like us.
“How long are you here?” I ask as I bend to put my empty glass on the coffee table.
Joshua leans back, draping an arm over the back of the sofa. “My flight leaves tomorrow afternoon.”
My stomach drops off a cliff. I don’t want him to leave. I want him to stay here with me and keep making me laugh, keep answering my questions, kee
p giving me the bits and pieces of myself I didn’t know I was missing until they were here. And I want him to touch me and fill me and move inside me until I come so hard the Earth shifts on its axis.
I smile so he doesn’t see the disappointment. Keep it breezy, Tea. Easy, breezy, beautiful. No pressure for the hot billionaire who holds your father’s financial future in the palm of his hand. The last thing Joshua wants is a twenty-one-year-old girl hanging all over him with a crush the size of Texas.
“When do you get back?” I ask. Easily. Breezily. I’m sure he has no clue how much I wish he wasn’t leaving.
“You sound like you don’t want me to leave.”
Or, not.
I shrug. Lick my lips. Swallow hard. And then do what I do best, say exactly what I’m thinking, no matter how awkward it is. “You’re right. I don’t want you to leave. This has been the best day I can remember having in a long time. I like you.”
Joshua grins. “I like you, too.”
“I don’t think those four words should make me feel this giddy.”
“What if I said that you feeling giddy makes me happy?”
“I like the thought of me making you happy.”
“And I like the thought of me making you giddy.” Joshua runs a hand up my thigh. Goose bumps flare across my skin and heat throbs between my thighs.
“I think I’m done talking now,” I say, staring as his finger creeps closer and closer to the hem of my shorts.
“Oh yeah? Are you ready for bed?”
I spread my legs, allowing his fingers access to my wet pussy. “I’m ready for you to take me to bed.”
Joshua grins and stands, offering me his hand. “I thought you’d never ask.”
I wake in a tangle of bed sheets, my muscles worn and aching from last night’s romp. If this is what Lola’s been experiencing, no wonder she’s been dying for me to lose my virginity for the last five years. I feel amazing. Better than amazing. I feel like… like…
There I go again, chasing down this amazing thought only for it to get harder to understand the more I look at it. All I know is that I’ve never felt this way before and I never want to stop feeling this way.
“Good morning, doll face.” Joshua wraps an arm around me and draws me close. “How’d you sleep?” he asks as his skin warms mine.
“Really well.” I snuggle into him, wriggling backwards because I don’t think there is such a thing as being too close to this man. “How about you?”
“This is the first morning I was still asleep when the sun came up. You might be a miracle worker, Tea.”
I like hearing my nickname in his voice. “I don’t know about all that.”
“That’s okay. I’ll know it for you. You’re smart. Beautiful. Fucking amazing in bed. And to top it all off, I feel completely comfortable with you. I’m not kidding. I typically don’t sleep very well.” He yawns, the muscles in his arms shivering beneath his skin. “But last night, with you curled up next to me, I could finally put all my anxiety to rest and just … be.”
“That really makes me feel good.”
“Me, too. I almost wish I didn’t have to leave today. Maybe you’re a better vacation than the one I have planned. Hell. You’re definitely a better vacation than the one I have panned because I’m leaving on business.” He grins. “I decided to call it a vacation to fool myself into relaxing.”
His words hit me like a freight train and I freeze. He wishes he didn’t have to leave today. That thought makes me so happy that my soul feels like it’s shining. I want to tell him to stay, but I can’t quite bring myself to do it. Who am I to ask him to stay home with me instead of traveling around the world, especially if he has to leave because of work? No one, that’s who. A no one he just met yesterday.
Joshua clears his throat and climbs out of bed, leaving me cold and lonely without the warm expanse of his body pressed against mine. “I’ll make breakfast,” he says, his voice tight. He clears his throat again and I roll over to find him staring down at me, his eyes dark and his jaw clenched.
“What’s wrong?” I prop myself up on my elbows.
Joshua’s features soften. “Nothing at all, doll face. Nothing at all.”
Chapter Eight
Joshua
What the actual fuck? Did I really tell her that I didn’t want to leave? Why, yes. I did. The words just came rolling out past my lips, way before my brain had a chance to evaluate them for appropriateness. And my God, she froze. Her entire body went stiff, just like she’d been electrocuted. I don’t even think she took a breath. She most certainly didn’t tell me she wished I didn’t have to go, too.
She climbs out of bed, her beautiful body bare to me. Her gaze hits mine and she blushes but doesn’t cover herself up. “Can I help?” she asks. “With breakfast?”
She smiles and it obliterates the tension in my heart. How can I feel anything but happy when she’s here, looking like that? “Nope. But you can come keep me company.”
She grabs her clothes off the floor and pulls them on. “Joshua?”
“Hmmm?”
“I wish you didn’t have to go, too.” Her voice is soft, tentative, but filled with truth.
I smile at her, touch a hand to my heart, and then head into the kitchen to make her the best damn breakfast she’s ever had in her life.
“Holy shit. That was one hell of a breakfast.” Teagan sits back and swipes a napkin across her mouth before balling it up and dropping it on the table.
“Mission accomplished.” I take a long swig of coffee.
“I didn’t know omelettes could taste like that.” She stands and grabs my empty mug. “More coffee?”
“Please.”
She hums as she fills my cup and then pours cream and sugar into hers. Her voice is warm and low and her legs are long and lean, sticking out the bottom of her shirt. I sit back in my chair and smile.
“I have to go, you know,” I say when she puts the coffee down in front of me. “I don’t want to, not now, not knowing you’re here. But I have to.”
Her face falls. “I know.”
“But I’m going to call you every day.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yep. And you’re going to drink a glass of scotch with me every night and tell me everything there is to know about you and I’m going to tell you everything there is to know about me and by the end of the summer, we’ll be almost as close as we would have been if I could stay.”
She smiles. “I like the sound of that. I think meeting you changed my life.”
“Well, of course it did. You aren’t a virgin anymore.”
“It’s more than that, silly. Yes, I will be craving your cock every night until I can have it again, because holy shit that thing is magical. But…” She trails off. “I don’t know. Maybe I’m just being silly.”
“Maybe, but if you are, I’m being silly right along with you.” I lean forward, elbows digging into the table. “I feel it, too. Meeting you changed my life.”
The words are right there on the tip of my tongue. Come with me, Teagan. But that’s not fair of me to ask her. I’ll be stuck in meetings from before the sun rises until well after the sun sets. I doubt I’ll ever leave the hotel. I can’t ask her to waste her summer sitting alone in strange cities just so I can come back to the room, fuck her, and fall asleep. Sure, I might be able to do a little sight-seeing on the weekends, but she deserves better than that.
“Your mind is busy this morning.” Teagan takes my hand. “Are you regretting what we did?”
“Nope. Not even a little.” I rub my thumb across her knuckle. “I wish I had more time before I have to leave you.”
Her face falls. “I don’t want you to leave me. But I understand that you have to,” she adds, hurriedly.
I stand, still holding her hand, and pull her to her feet. “Have I told you yet how beautiful you are this morning?”
She presses her body against mine and stares up at me. “Nope.”
“Then I have been
terribly remiss.” I slide my hands down her back and cup her ass. “You’re so beautiful, Tea. I could lose myself in you.”
“That’s funny, because I feel like I could find myself in you.” She tilts her face up to mine.
I kiss her and my dick springs to attention, straining against her belly. She moans, a small sound in the back of her throat, and grips my back, pulling herself even closer to me.
“I want to give you a blow job.” The words are a whisper against my lips and my cock jerks his approval.
“I approve of this decision.”
“But, I’ve never done it before, so you’ll have to teach me.”
“Oh, fuck, Tea. Are you kidding me?”
“Is that a problem?”
“A problem? Hell no. It’s fucking hot. Just when I think you couldn’t get any better, you go and say something like you want me to teach you how to suck my dick.” I squeeze her ass. “You’re a fucking unicorn.”
“A unicorn?”
“Yep. A rare, mythical creature, known for its beauty and general awesomeness.” I drop a kiss on her forehead. “Now, my gorgeous little unicorn, get on your knees for me.”
Teagan smiles and complies. I lead her through one of the most mind-blowing blow jobs of my entire damn life. She’s a natural, taking my instruction as well as going off on delightful tangents of her own. When I look down and see her kneeling in front of me, those wide eyes trained on mine, her hand wrapped around the base of my cock and her mouth filled with it, my knees go weak. It’s all I can do not to lose it right there. All I can do not to come in her mouth, shooting my load right to the back of her throat.
“Stand up.” My voice is thick with need.
She pulls away, stroking my shaft with her hand while she twirls her tongue around the tip. “Don’t you like it?”
I growl my approval. “I more than like it. I love it. But if I’m going to hop on a plane and leave you for the next three months, then I have to be inside you one more time.”
